Amazon Prime content stalls

i have a 4K AppleTV 4K Sony it is a non-HDR TV. All content works and looks and sounds great from all providers. Amazon Prime times out loading content of any resolution. Returns this message “HDMI cable does not support HDCP“

i am running 11.2.1

i have tried Match content “on”

same result

IDEAS?
