icloud emails disapear

Hi,

My wife uses icloud for her emails and is having a very strange problem. Emails are displayed in the left hand part of the page on her Mac but when she clicks on certain emails to open them they just disappear altogether. She hasent read them and they are not in spam, junk trash etc. She is now worried she is missing important work emails.

Has anyone had this problem and got a fix?
