Random small boxes of black horizontal lines in texts?

For the past month, I've been experiencing these random small boxes of black horizontal lines in between the letters of words. They've been showing up in my text messages, and even on social media posts such as Instagram. Is there something wrong with my phone? Is there any way to stop these random appearances of small black lines? Any help will be appreciated.
