what about importing an Aperture library?

I want to import my library from Aperture to iCloud and it says it is in the wrong format? What can I do?

MacBook Pro (17-inch 2.4 GHz), iOS 11.2

iCloud is not a appropriate place to have an Aperture (or iPhoto or Photos) library - they need to be on a local drive only
