AHT iMac

I did a actualization of my iMac to Sierra HD and I am getting an error when I am burning a DVD, error 0x8002006E.

I tried to run the application AHT on second disk from apple but it is not running.

I did as follow:

Insert the second appel disc on driver;

I turned off the i mac;

Hold key "D;

Turn on the iMac;

Appears in the screen "connecting with network" but nothing happens and showing this "-3403D"

How can I run the AHT?

IMac 21.5 inch mid 2010, macOS High Sierra 10.13.1

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.4), 8 GB memory

Well the issue is your SuperDrive is malfunctioning, it is now many years old. The first thing you can try is to get a CD/DVD cleaning kit and clean it. If that fails then your SuperDrive may have failed and needs to be replaced. I would recommend using one of OWCss (www.macsales.com) external DVD drives. They sell many and find one that suits your needs.

Good luck.
