Can I safely delete Skype emo_cache_v2 files?

I was in need of space the other day, when I was running El Capitan, and

somebody suggested I download Easyfind to find the existing movie files

that were eating a lot of my drive space.

In Easyfind, and I searched .AVI, .MOV, and .MP4

Under MP4, I found over 500 items of various sizes from 2.3MB to 51.3KB

and MOST of the files are library/application support/Skype/justa-my username/media_messaging/emo_cache_v2

Can I safely delete those files?

and what is the best way?

I went to Library using ~/Library/

and I found the folder Application Support and then Skype.... then clicked the folder with

my user name and there is a folder called Media Messaging and then clicked on the

folder called emo_cache_v2 .... there are over 500 gifs and such, that I don't even know why I have

these, I have not chatted with anybody on Skype in years.

anyway, can I safely delete these files, and what is the best way to do this?

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2), Early 2015 Model with 121GB Flash

Try control - clicking on the files/Move to Trash. You can select files next to each other by clicking the first file and then hold down the shift key while clicking the last file. To select files that aren't next to each other, hold down the command key while clicking files. Once everything is in the Trash, restart the computer, and test. If everything is normal, empty the Trash.
