Airport Extreme Time Capsule

Can I use an Airport Extreme Time Capsule with a Verizon D-Link Modem Model DSL-2750B? If not, what is a compatible modem for Verizon DSL high speed internet?

The DSL model is modem router.. and the Time Capsule will work with any router by using bridge mode.

In fact in DSL line now it is almost impossible to find pure modems..

If your connection is VDSL so speeds above 24Mbps.. then bridging a modem is really poor idea as the configuration of VDSL is not simple and for instance where I am the Airport routers work with very few of our fibre installs, whether fibre to the house or using vdsl FTTN. Or FTTC.. or any of the other methods they have to avoid running fibre the last 10M or 100M or 1000M. Apple has totally ignored need for vlan on WAN which is now essential for many of these services.

So in summary.. as long as the Apple router is bridged.. and you leave the routing function to the ISP supplied box they will work with some limitations.

eg. Apple requires you use their router for some options like Guest Wireless and BTMM. As well as often being unreliable in the network with later OS for using Time Machine backup. If you have any of these situations tell us and we can give you some helpful hints that might alleviate some of the worst effects.
