WHEN I DELETE EMAILS, THEY DISAPPEAR AND DO NOT GO TO TRASH

When I delete emails they disappear. My trash bin remains empty.

If you are asking about your Mac "trash bin," deleted emails are not moved to the "trash bin." Depending upon the settings for your email server, they should be located in the "Trash Folder," or the "Deleted Messages" Folder.

Check your settings in Mail>Preferences...>Accounts>Trash Mailbox.

Thanks for your response. I went to preferences... accounts....mailbox behaviors....trash mailbox..... On my Mac....trash.

The problem persists . There is nothing in my "deleted Messages" folder.

The trash bin in my dock remains empty.

Also, my "trash" is under "Mailboxes" in my sidebar.

The "On My Mac," Trash, and the "trash bin" on your Dock do not serve the same function. Deleted email will not go to the "Dock Trash Can."

If you have designated your deleted emails to go into "trash" under "Mailboxes" in the sidebar, you should find them in your Trash>On My Mac Mailbox.

What do you have selected in Mail>Preferences...>Accounts>Mailbox Behaviors>Erase Deleted Messages:>?
