Can't sync phone to iTunes

Question

Can't sync phone to iTunes

I have Windows 10 and the latest version of iTunes. My PC is picking up that my iPhone is plugged in, but iTunes isn't picking it up at all. I have tried restarting both my phone and computer, but no luck. Any ideas?

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.1.2, using Windows 10

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to get your iPhone to show up in iTunes on your Windows computer. To help with this issue, please follow all of the steps in this resource on your situation.

I tested this issue with a different hard disk and a fresh install of windows and itunes only

there is a defect in iOS and or iTunes that does not sync properly

while the phone is recognized there are problems as above
