Even with subtitles enabled on the new AppleTV 4K I cannot get closed captions or subtitles to work with the new Amazon Prime App.
The apple TV is properly enabled to show subtitles (They work in netflix). The amazon App in the apple TV doesn't have anything specific to subtitles.
Any help would be appreciated.

I solved the problem last night. Here is how you do it.
Step 1: Make sure closed captioning is enabled in the appleTV settings.
Step 2: Launch the Amazon Prime app and run any program.
Step 3: Using the tactile part of the remove Slide DOWN from the top with your finger which exposes a new set of viewing options .
Step 4: Select The closed captioning menu and enable the option.
After you do this the subtitles should appear.
