Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I remember before upgrading High Sierra, the search result icons for Apps open it directly, Not it is not. It was a great UX element! Is there any setting to enable it? The image below should explain it.

It looks to me like this particular app is not available in the App Store. It is something you download via the vendor's website:

My question is after searching for *any* application (Eg pages ), clicking the icon on the right side doesn't open the app.
I have changed my example. See the arrow. Clicking *that* icon doesn't open Pages.
Now got my question?
That's how everyone has to do now - we have no other way. So, there the big icon remains just as a show!
So My question remains as it is, as Apple has killed the concept of search, Show the icon in the BIG useless icon! It's redundant now - a big UX mistake.
For the other results (see screenshot, to see what I mean), items are selectable, openable..
