Viewing pdfs in Safari with High Sierra

I upgraded to High Sierra today and now in Safari whenever I click on a link that goes to a pdf file on the web all I get is a blank page. I have to paste the url into Chrome to read or download the pdf. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Backup your Mac.

Launch App Store and click Updates tab.

Install the latest update, macOS High Sierra 10.13.2.
