My iPhone 7 Plus using iOS 11.1.2 won’t load any new apps or update existing apps

New apps & updates won’t load on my iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 11.1.2

I’ve tried deleting apps & also shut down phone & rebooted but no change. A little circle just keeps going around & round but the proper downloading circle doesn’t even show.

Only thing that happens is it drains the battery very quickly

Thanks for that suggestion. In the end I had to shut down & then reboot the phone & then change to Download Apps with wi-fi & not data - nothing else worked

Try logging out & login to App Store into the phone
