My phone isn’t downloading my email

I have three emails addresses. One is a shared email address with my husband and hosted by gmail. It downloads fine on his phone and our computer, but on my phone I only receive the emails 1-2x per day verses whenever emails should be received. My other email addresses seem to be working fine on my phone. Any suggestions?
