Apple music only playing downloaded songs

I have had this MacBook pro for about a year with not many issues. I listen to my music connected to wifi so I don't download any of my songs. Recently, I've noticed that apple music only plays downloaded music. I have about 5,000 songs on my computer so downloading them all is not an option.

I am connected to wifi, and have listened to my music undownloaded for a year.

I have restarted the app two times and neither one has fixed the problem.

My songs seem to just skip over, and then end.

I cannot listen to the song because it skips over before I can pause it. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem. I'd switch over to soundcloud if I could but I have way too many songs to do that.

I'm going to update to iOS 11 soon, but I don't know if that will solve the problem

EDIT: I should note that this issue is only for my computer. My phone is absolutely fine with playing undownloaded music over wifi.
