How can I create a space for users to type their personal journal responses into my iBook?

I'm using iBooks Author 2.6 (927) on my 2012 MacBook Pro running the latest version of Sierra 10.12.16. Storage, displays, memory, processor speed are not issues. I have read through the entire iBooks Author guide and cannot see a solution to my challenge:

My project is a journal-based book. I plan to use a Landscape template for use on multiple devices. I want my readers to be able to type their own private journal entries into certain pages. I want them to be able to save their personalized version of the journal, perhaps even print pages, but solely for their own use.

How do you think that I would I best do this?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), macOS Sierra (10.12.6), Solid State SATA Drive
