My battery life is awful on iOS 11, in one hour from100%to 38% what can I do

Battery life is dreadful since installing iOS update. Turned off all notifications etc that may drain my battery. This isn’t good enough thinking of changing phones now. Does anyone have any advice I’m losing the will to live!!!
