How to fix home button problem after ios 11.2.1 update on 5SiPhobeci

Yes, this is a BIG problem. Suddenly appears on my iPhone 8 immediately after iOS 11.2.1 was installed. Not only does home "button" fail to work (no bump indicating the touch was sensed) but the top-right button (POWER) is also disabled.

Can't even reboot the phone! When I hold down power to force quit it activates the 911 emergency call which I then have top cancel/stop. (SOS feature) So clearly the hardware is working but the latest update has messed something up.

Please Apple.... this is a HUGE problem. It makes my iPhone 8 unusable.

i have iphone 6 and after the 11.2.1 upgrade... MASSIVE PROBLEMS!!!

First - home buttons stopped working

Second- when the screen is sleeping it come back to life every 5 seconds - battery drains superfast

My feeling is that the system is a total wreck

Same here my 5s started not to react to pressing when it’s locked, its only react to power button, but also not every time, if I lock and immediatelly unlock home button works, but if I leave it locked for 5-10sec its not unlock with home button. Software issue 100% apple fix it

I've been told the update is not the problem my phone was probably broken before the update and the update brought it to light 😠

This is so frustrating.

apple updates - either screw your battery or screw your phone. I won't be buying an iPhone again.

This does nothing to address the problem of a bad update that made a key component of our phones... no longer work.

Same here - touch ID vibration is working but when I got into General/Home button/choose your click - no vibration..Started with 11.2.1...
