Sound with iphone

I have an iPhone 5 running IOS 11.Up until last night,I had sounds. All of a sudden,no sounds when I receive messages,or when the phone rings,or using apps. All sound is at max volume. If I go to sounds and test,it plays the sounds. No notification sounds at all,no typing sounds.Everything is set to play sounds. I did a hard reset and still nothing. I tested with Find my Phone and it did play the sound.Bluetooth is off.This just happened suddenly. Can anybody tell me how to fix this. Thank you. Jane
