When I hold down the home key to access Siri, there is no chime to let me know Siri is ready for me to speak. How can I turn the chime back on?

There is (or used to be) a workaround. Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Vibration and turn it off. At least that's what I think it was. I don't know if it will still work. And, you won't get vibrations for anything at all.

You can also submit feedback to Apple letting them know you'd like to see that feature returned:

But, given how long it's been, I don't really expect to see it change back.

I just tested it with my phone. It's taken me a while to start using "Hey, Siri..." more as until recently, I had an iPhone 6 and you could only use it if the phone was plugged in. Now that I have the 7+, I'm discovering that it's very, very useful.

There's nothing to check. Siri doesn't chime if you invoke it by holding down the Home button. That feature was removed at least a year ago.

Mine doesn't have a chime either. It seems like the chime was eliminated awhile back.

I just press the Home button and start speaking after a second or so.
