Searching for all files

I recall being able to use the following to search for all jpgs or mp3s on my old PC.........*.mp3 . or *.jpg

However this doesn't seem to work when I try to search for all files with the ending <filename>.jpg . using Spotlight

So how do I request a search for all files ending with <filename>.jpg ?

Thanks

Hey Schrodinger56!

I understand you're curious about locating files of a specific format, and I'd be more than happy to help with that. To accomplish this, simply open the Finder app that comes pre-installed on every system. Search the left panel until you locate your device, and select the disk you want to search, then type whichever format you want to find in the Search box at the top.

Get to know the Finder on your Mac

I hope this helps you locate what you're looking for. Cheers!
