iPhone 8 Swipes while Scrolling, Swipe Too Sensitive

I just got an iphone 8, and when I scroll, items keep starting to swipe. It's like the swipe gesture is too sensitive. Is there a way to adjust the swipe gesture sensitivity?

An example of this would be accidentally deleting emails when I am just trying to scroll through them.
