4HDD is a hard drive error. It could mean the hard drive is failing or, on some MacBook Pro sub-models (we do not know your sub-model), a compromised hard-drive cable.


I am having trouble understanding your other question. Most cameras connect to a computer with a USB cable or a memory card slot. The ports available on MacBook Pros have changed over the years so, without knowing your MacBook Pro it is, again, hard to tell you how to proceed.


Doing "About this Mac" from your Apple menu (left end of menubar) will show your sub-model. In this example:

the red arrow points to the sub-model description. Please post how that line describes your computer.
