Updating to 11.1.2 software
my mac book pro is frozen after hitting install on new software.
Ive tried restarting several times to no avail.
the screen shows a circle with a line through it.

Prohibitory symbol (Circle with a slash) indicates some major part of macOS was too damaged to continue starting up.
You will need to install again.
