APFS Container Resize error code is 49187

I am currently trying to create a bootcamp partition. The bootcamp assistant partition failed on the partitioning step, and manually trying to create the partition results in APFS Container Resize error code 49187.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Here is the log of the partitioning attempt:

Try the following command in Terminal

sudo tmutil thinlocalsnapshots / 999999999999

and retry BCA. If that does not work, back up macOS using Time Machine, erase internal disk, restore from TM backup and retry BCA.

recently, i wiped my internal HD, reinstalled osx high sierra and started fresh. i have time machine backups that i pulled files i needed from, but i started clean otherwise. i still have the time machine backups on an external drive, and i am currently running a TM backup of my new setup.

also, if its relevant, i previously had a Bootcamp partition that worked but I never used because the drivers didn't install properly. i deleted it before i erased my OSX partition
