Is there any reliable way to calibrate the source mac for use in Target Display Mode on my iMac?

I love using my iMac screen in Target Mode for my work screen with my MacBook Pro. But I have to use the MacBook to judge color and brightness of my images. Can I set up a color profile on the MacBook that will be correct when I press F2? I seem to have to turn down my brightness about 9 clicks every time I turn on Target Display Mode and the iMac is very yellow compared to the MacBook.
