Sometimes a replacement hard drive or SSD works best if installed to an external enclosure

and then when the planets are aligned just right, transplanted with a dash of hi tech fertilizer.


You may need to dissect the device and replace cables, such as data or power; these can be

damaged in process of initial take-apart to repair. Or be worn weak or disabled due to illness.

The owc esales site has free video for replacement of SSDs, and advice in their blogs.

Probably somewhat like iFixit, but with video and audio to help tell what we're looking at.
