Go to Settings-Accounts & Passwords and and scroll to Fetch New Data.

Make sure "Push" is enabled and "Fetch" is enabled for each account and the Fetch interval is "Automatically" or whatever you would like it to be.

It is very interesting at people’s responses to the slow email download. It is the same standard customer service response that you get when you call in. Before I read this thread, my email started the slowness 3-4 weeks ago or whenever the last 11.2 update was done.

I am sure apply tried to correct the battery issue with using the fetch and push emails as the same.

I tried all of the stuff before reading the thread because here is what I noticed after the last update. My email has always been on fetch data immediately. Now it only downloads email when I click on the email to look at it. So no email is downloaded at all until I open and email. And to top that off it is slow to download.

It is very frustrating. Oh and the other thing that it is doing 4-5 times a day is redownloading all my emails. 5-6,000 emails each tjme

Thank you that is exactly what my iPhone 10 is doing. It downloads when I open it, and very occasionally on its own. Often I have to wait some time for it to download. It's very irritating and I have had help with the Apple helpline twice but this still continues.

I wonder if anyone in Apple is watching this and can do something about it?
