text message forwarding to laptop

It was working on my 6sPlus, but on my 8Plus, I don't remember how i set it up.......I know I turned something off......was is SMS/MMS? When I click my MacBook off I get the code in the little dialog box, but it doesn't seem to work........

I know there are EASY answers out there.........
