Bluetooth connection with edifier speakers

I recently bought Edifier bluetooth speakers and have them connected with my Macbook pro mid 2015. I run High Sierra 10.13.2 on it.

When I connect to the speakers the first 45-60 minutes it works flawless but after that the connection starts to get bad. The music gets interrupted all the time by crackling sounds and noise. It sounds a bit like listening to a radio with a bad connection.

When this happens I disconnect with the speakers and also turn off bluetooth and then start it again and reconnect. The connection will be fine again but now for a shorter period. It will be stable for 15 to 30 minutes and the problem repeats itself. I have been searching for this issue and found a lot of bluetooth problems but nothing like this.

Does anyone know what might cause this and how I can fix this?
