iPhone 5s does not have Touch ID & Passcode feature.

I am using a hand-me-down 5s with iOS 10.3.3. It has 64 Gb and uses Verizon carrier version 28.4. It was used continually since purchase; it has never had issues and has never been in for repairs. It is still performing as expected with one exception.

The Problem: This iPhone 5s does not have the Touch ID feature. It does have the Passcode feature. I can not navigate Settings > Touch ID & Passcode because the feature is not there. I can navigate Settings > Passcode because the Passcode feature is there. Anyone familiar with this problem? I have not tried a factory reset. I simply assumed ownership continue to use it.

My guess is you do not actually have an iPhone 5S, but some earlier model.

Check Settings > General > About > Model and report here what you see. We will know definitively what model you have then.

My wife used this 5s since purchase and never set jup the Touch ID. She only used the Passcode feature and never noticed that there was not a Touch ID feature; she never used it and was not aware that it was not there.
