Portriat mode for pictures

When I updated to 11.2 I noticed that in portriat mode on the camera I can no longer get as close to objects as I used to. It’s very frustrating as I post a daily picture and always used portrait as it gave wonderful pictures. Where I used to be able to be 6”-8” from my items I now have to be 1’-2’ away. The picture quality is no where near what it used to be. Anyone else notice this when updating to 11.2? Any way to go back to the previous OS?
