Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Imac won’t start

the black line loads completely, but the login page does not appear.


- starting in safe mode: i can’t.

- cmd alt p r: i did succesfully

- first aid Macintosh HD: does not find a problem

- first aid OS X base system: does not work


please help, anyone?

Were you updating to 10.13.2 before it happened? because if that's the case this would be the reason why!


Did you try to reboot with the key option? check if you're by any chances on a macOS update drive as the startup disk!


If it is the case select your normal Mac drive...


If that's not the case then go into recovery mode:

Option / Command / R and power on

Also, please please please... before considering reformatting the drive, look for another repair option, as it is really extreme having to reformat a drive!


I would suggest to try disk repair and if it doesn't work, then try DiskWarrior it is a drive repair software and I can tell you it makes miracles, as a matter of facts it saved my butt many times!
