no auto-brightness option in display accommodations

updated to iOS11 and now auto-brightness does not work. I know it has moved to 'Display Accommodations' but the toggle switch is not there. I have tried hard reset, reverting to previous backup, complete wipe and reset. None of these options made a difference.

Hi Gus,

Auto brightness should be right under accessibilty & display and brightness settings, yes. Check your control panel also

In earlier version, just under Display settings.

You shouldn't have to go any further.

Hi Gus, it's set to default...

About brightness levels

iOS devices use an ambient light sensor to adjust brightness levels based on the light conditions around you. The sensor lowers brightness in dark locations and raises brightness in light locations. The auto-brightness feature is on by default.

When auto-brightness is on, you'll notice that your device's brightness slider moves according to changing light conditions.

In iOS 11, you can turn auto-brightness on or off in Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations. In iOS 10 and earlier, go to Settings > Display & Brightness.
