Dashboard does not open

Hi,

My dashboard does not open. Simply clicking on the icon in the dock (or directly in the apps folder) does not not yield anything.

I didn't use dashboard since a few years on this mac, so I don't know at what moment it got broken.

I tried to move the com.apple.dashboard.[client].plist as suggested in older forum threads but it did not help.

I am running Sierra 10.12.6 on a MacBookPro 15 inch, start 201, 2,7 GHz Intel Core i7

Can anyone help with this issue?
