Macbook Air Mid 2013

Recently downloaded both High Sierra(ver 10.13.1) and new version of Photos(ver. 3.0)

Now the program no longer recognizes video...only the images.

I insert my media card into the side of the MacBook.

Photos automatically opens up and prompts me to select photos I want to download OR download all new photos.

No sign of video anywhere.

Why? What has happened?

Please assist.

The memory card appears to be storing the still images under a DCIM file.

The video now shows up under "Private" file and are all grouped together in one folder.

When you click on the AVCHD icon, you get a window with all the video files.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Keep in mind, this is a new thing.

Prior to High Sierra install, videos would show up as .mp4 files.

What is the format of the video files on the memory card - I assume from your camera? Because if the Mac OS doesn't recognize the file format, they won't show up on the import page.

If you open Finder and go to the memory card, can you see the Video files there? Are they greyed out? Can you click on them to play them on the Mac?
