I updated my mini 4 to iOS 11.2 this week and noticed a strange thing : when the cover of my smart case is on the back, the screen automatically switch on when I raise my device, like it does with my iPhone. With the same case I hadn’t this feature on iOS 10. I’m incapable to say if it’s really a feature or a bug... is someone having the same comportement?

Hi, thanks for your answer. Indeed, my case wake up the iPad when I open it, but it’s a well known feature since the first iPad.
What I mean is that the tablet lights up when I lift it up and the lid is folded down on the back. I had already tried without the case and it doesn't work, so it probably has something to do with the magnet. But I'm not sure it's a real function, maybe a bug.
My ipad mini4 is the same. I think ipad can raise to wake in new IOS version.
Really strange they didn’t communicate about this isn’t it ? But great feature !
