Launchpad has suddenly stopped opening for me. What is the problem?

Launchpad has suddenly stopped opening on my MacBook Pro. What can I do to fix this problem?

Try booting into Safe Mode and test.

Thanks so much. I followed your instructions and started in safe mode and I was able to open Launchpad and then restarted to get out of safemode and again, was able to open Launchpad. Thanks again!!
