hi,i have a problem

I don’t get an error message on my IPhone 7. The keyboard just freezes up, and only when I try to put a location in the location area of an Apple calendar item.

Someone said to type ZZ before entering a location or word. That works BUT it is a work around isn’t it and I want to fix this problem. I do have iOS 11.2.0. So updates aren’t fixing this on my IPhone 7
