viruses & wireless peripherals

Hi, I recently had my mac hdd erased by a technician after having a very difficult to remove TDL type virus. There doesn't seem to be any indication that it is still there, however connecting the Bluetooth peripherals concern me.

Since the firmware (distinct from software updates) is user updateable theoretically this virus could have written to the firmware of these devices namely the magic keyboard not the Magic Mouse since there is no firmware updates available for this and also the SuperDrive. At the moment I don't have an alternative keyboard so any recommendations would be appreciated.
