Photos not sorting by date on iPhone or iCloud

I've uploaded about 80 photos to iCloud.com photos. I created an album and added the corresponding photos to that album. The iPhone has downloaded the photos. On both iCloud & iPhone, those photos are being sorted randomly, not be date taken. The photos are from my DSLR, the correct EXIF data is there as well.

Any idea why this is happening?

I'm using this method as the FULL resolution of the images are copied to the phone, UNLIKE using iTunes, as it COMPRESSES the photos much to my dismay.
