How do I remove old chat transcripts?
I have Messages on my MacBook Air set to keep for 30 days, yet I see transcripts much older than that. How do I remove the old chat transcripts?

Hi,
The Mac version has no abilities to set how long Messages are kept.
The chat .db items in ~/library/Messages hold the messages on show and to some extent the ones that have been Saved.
Saved ones are in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Messages/Archive but only when you have set Save on close
