Connecting Apple Watch series 3 to my hearing aids

I have just bought an iPhoneX and an Apple Watch Series 3 with GPS and Cellular.

My iPhone Series 3 connects to my ReSound Linx 3D hearing aids and my iPhoneX is connected to the Watch. I have selected Bluetooth on the watch but it will not connect with my hearing aids?

Thank you. I had already spoken at length with the ReSound people. There have been early problems syncing to the iPhone X which seem to have been fixed. So I’m connected to my iPhone X and that is synced to my watch but my watch won’t sync to my hearing aids. The phone is synced via settings but the watch seems to use Bluetooth.

As an added problem my wife has an older iPhone and can you believe when someone calls her my hearing aids pick it up! I have turned off her phone’s Bluetooth to see if that helps.
