I already set up restrictions on my iTunes. But when I go into the store, most of the songs and media I see is restricted. I am not interested in seeing this. Is there a way to remove restricted media from appearing in my iTunes store?

You can't stop it from showing in the store, the restrictions only stops those items being played / bought / downloaded. If you'd like an option to also hide them from the store : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
