AIRPORT TIME CAPSULE INDICATOR BECOME YELLOW EVERY SO OFTEN. THE TIME CAPSULE IIS CONNECTED TO A ARRIS SURF BOARD MODEM WHICH IS CONNECTED TO OUR INTERNET CABLE.

Our Airport Time Capsule occasionally disconnects from our modem. The time capsule is a 2TB. The modem is an ARRIS Surfboard which is connected to our cable. When this happens, the indicator light turns yellow. I restart the time capsule and it works fine for 2 to 3 weeks. Oh, the Arris modem is cable connected to the time machine. I am not very good at this "stuff", any help is appreciated.

You will get that yellow flashing light on the Time Capsule for these reasons:

  1. Airport Base Station firmware update (2017-12-12) waiting for installation (if configured in Airport preferences).
  2. A current network outage between your cable modem and the ISP. Usually, this will auto-correct, and you will return to normal operation. Sometimes though, you will have to reboot the cable modem yourself.
  3. Any power outage. Same as [2].
  4. Network compromise between cable modem and Time Capsule.
  5. Other Time Capsule error
