? on turning off “peak time of use” icon docking (the little clock)
(iPad Air 2, iOS 11.2)
I’ve looked around on the web and this forum for an answer to this, but nothing’s worked.
PROBLEM: From what I’ve learned so far, icons for apps that are frequently used at a certain time of the day appear on the right hand side of the Dock at that time of day. This is indicated by a clock icon at the upper right of the app icon. Siri is supposed to have something to do with this. I would like to turn this “helpfulness” off. The two reasonable suggested solutions I’ve found online are (1) turn off Show Recent and Suggested Apps under the Mulitasking & Dock Settings and (2) in the Siri & Search Settings turn the option for the app off. However neither of these work for me. In fact these were already my settings before this annoyance started occurring a couple of days ago. In my case, it’s the Chrome app that’s getting docked. (There’s nothing in the Chrome settings that will affect this.)
Note: I use Chrome all day long. I’m skeptical that there’s a “peak” time of day I use it that this Apple function can accurately pinpoint.)
Thank you.
