I can not view my settings on Apple TV

I have been trying to open the settings for Apple TV since I accidentally disabled homesharing on my Apple TV, however every time I connect to Apple TV a verification code appears and I’m not able to enter it in because I cannot enter anything on the Apple TV I can’t even see the settings. I lost my remote so I’m using the Apple TV remote app. Please help I don’t know how to fix this.
