How is this hard to fix battery drain that was so obviously created by and update?

In the 4-5 years I’ve been an iPhone user, after switching from android phones, I was really satisfied. It even prompted me to get a MacBook and an iPad mini. And now with iOS 11 I can’t wait to go pick up my new Samsung android phone. I can’t believe a battery issue created by your software still can’t be fixed. Based on past performance of all my phones of any brand , this is a software issue and not the way I treat my phones
