I open the app and instead of GarageBand it shows the files app

That’s because in the new update, it saves all of your GarageBand projects as files in the files app. Just tap of the project if it’s there. If not try clicking “on my ipad(pod, phone, etc) then tap the “GarageBand“ folder. It will have “GarageBand file transfer” and any projects that you have next to it. If your projects aren’t there, tap “create new” to star a new one. Hope this was helpful.

Doesn't the file browser show your existing GarageBand projects so that you can open one of them? 😕

I have the same problem and i can‘t find a way back to GarageBand.

Is it a black screen with the word GarageBand at the top left. If so then select one of songs or tick the + to make a new one.

No, this doesn‘t work. I reinstalled it but now, when i try to open something it shows a never ending loading screen.
