App Store has been failing since upgraded to High Sierra

After updating to macOS High Sierra, App Store has been failing to perform some updates on iMac 27 inch (late 2012) with two successive error messages below.

I have MacBook 12 inch (2015) and App Store is working properly on macOS High Sierra. So it doesn't seem to be a problem in my iTunes account.

Even after failure for some updates, macOS update ran successfully. So it seems the porblem is dependent on Apps.

I have tried Command (⌘), Option, P, and R but didn't help.

Can anyone suggest any solution, please?

macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Update was successfully updated.

Still, updataing Pages, Keynote, Numbers and Xcode kept failing.

I have noticed actually none these have been used for quite some time. So, I launched them one after another. Sill update did not work.

Then I removed Xcode (by holding the icon in Launchpad and clicking the X mark).

After this, Pages, Keynote, and Numbers were successfully updated by App Store. So, apparently this problem is related to Xcode's installtion status.
